Acer made a great foundation product in my opinion, but it kind of seems rushed to get it out on the market. This laptop has so much room for improvement it isn't even funny. I bought this laptop being highly attracted to the design of laptop itself. My previous laptop being a HP Touchsmart tm2t, but the graphics controller kicked the bucket. Overall Review: I am a huge fan of touchscreen and tablet PCs (not tablets). I do understand why, with it being dual screen in all, but they should have manufactured a battery to counteract its increased power consumption. I don't know what it is with Acer laptop batteries, but they tend to last only ~3 hours maximum with many of their models. DO NOT TRY TO GAME WITH THIS LAPTOP! It will NOT work out. Sometimes it will hang up on you and not move and think you are clicking instead of just trying to move the cursor (highly annoying).Īll of the other hardware is great, but the lack of a dedicated video card makes this laptop only usable for surfing the web, watching movies, and maybe office/home use if you can get used to the keyboard like I have. You can't change the size of it, but you can change the size of the keyboard.
Calibration issues, unregistered keystrokes and key holds. Virtual keyboard technology is still buggy. Opening the laptop panel is easy and simple. still kinda neat to touch interface with in games. the touch keyboard does not do fps at all. Its not very gameable, as your still need a mouse to control. is the touch screen worth it the huge price of a dual core i5? Unit is costly and slow compared to other units even less priced.
Overall Review: being a bad first experience with a touch type system, newegg let me exchange this bad unit for another brand. she nearly throw it out the window each time it locked up. with out this contact she was unable to type well with out looking at the keyboard. but seems this is not universal.Ĭons: Unit was for my wife, she hated the touch keyboard. also had an issue where the upper screen will start randomly clicking locations,sometimes causing programs to load. My unit tend to lock up every 15 minutes.
